Egg Farmers of Alberta (“EFA”) maintains websites currently stored at eggs.ab.ca (“Our Website”), which may provide recipes, data, activities, contests, health, nutritional, and educational information, information related to the egg industry in Alberta and Canada, and other materials (the “Content”).  Our Website is provided to you subject to your compliance with these terms and conditions of use (“Terms & Conditions”).  These Terms & Conditions apply to Our Website.  By accessing or using Our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.  If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, please do not access or use Our Website.

Modification to the Terms & Conditions

EFA reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time, and your continued access to or use of Our Website after such changes indicates your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions as modified.  It is your responsibility to review these Terms & Conditions regularly.

Viruses

The downloading of Content is done at your own risk.  EFA cannot and does not guarantee or warrant that Our Website or the Content will be free of viruses, worms, trojan horses or disabling devices, or other code that manifests contaminating or destructive properties.  You are responsible for implementing safeguards to protect the security and integrity of your computer system, and you are responsible for the entire cost of any service, repairs, or connections of and to your computer system, which may be necessary as a result of your use of Our Website.

User Submissions

Except as otherwise provided in our Privacy Policy, any material, information, or other communication that you transmit via Our Website or post to Our Website (the “Communications”) will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary.  Except as otherwise provided in our Privacy Policy, EFA and its affiliates or others may copy, display, post, transmit, disclose, communicate, or otherwise use the Communications.  Communications posted to our comments page are subject to our Comment Policy.

Comment Policy

Welcome to eggs.ab.ca.  The team at Egg Farmers of Alberta is keen to receive your feedback and comments on our recipes.  Please keep in mind that we reserve the right to remove or moderate all comments that abuse this Comment Policy.  We want to publish your comments and be able to share your feedback with the team at EFA.  To help us do that, please keep criticism constructive.  We will make the best efforts to respond to your comments; however, this will not always be possible.

  • Keep it clean: use appropriate language and etiquette. Comments that include offensive or inappropriate language will be deleted.
  • Keep it courteous: healthy debate is encouraged, but we will not permit any personal attacks on this page.
  • Keep it on topic: any comment that is not relevant to the topic at hand will be deleted.
  • Keep it legal: any comment relating to legal or financial matters will be deleted. Do not post information that is false, fraudulent, deceptive, inaccurate, or misleading.  If the post appears to infringe or violate the privacy rights or intellectual property rights of others, or otherwise contain illegal content, it will be deleted.  Posts that encourage others to participate in behaviour that is considered unethical will be deleted.
  • Keep personal info private: please remember that this page is public. For your own safety, please do not post any personal information about yourself or third parties (ie: addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses).
  • Keep it spam-free: any comment assumed to be spam will be deleted. We will delete posts that overtly promote products or services.  Comments that come from the same user that are repeated or are similar in nature will also be deleted.
  • You are responsible: while we may review comments before posting, you are legally responsible for your own comments.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, and these laws apply to the use of Our Website or the Content by you, notwithstanding your domicile, residency, or physical location.  Our Website and the Content are intended for use only in jurisdictions where they may lawfully be offered for use.

General Provisions
