David Webb

My name is David Webb, and I am EFA’s Marketing & Communications Manager.

I was drawn to EFA by the idea of learning about a new sector (agriculture), while putting my experience and expertise to use to help tell the story about real people, rather than simply to gain market share and sell more products.  The human element of working for and representing the province’s egg farming families is inspirational, and I am proud that my efforts can help make a difference for both the farmers and the people they feed.  I have been with EFA since March 2011.

Originally from Niagara Falls, Ontario, by way of Toronto, I am married and have two little boys.  My many interests outside of work include a variety of sports, travelling, and playing with my kids.

My favorite memories during my time at EFA are when the team has come together outside of work to give back to the community, whether it was hosting a fundraising BBQ and later participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure, volunteering for Breakfast Club of Canada at a local high school, or volunteering at a local member of Food Banks Alberta.  Winning several awards from the Canadian Agri-Marketing Association have definitely been among my more personal highlights.

I feel EFA is successful because of the passion and dedication of the staff, and the Board’s bold leadership.  As I look ahead to the future for EFA, I expect us to continue pushing the egg industry forward with our pioneering attitude, in the pursuit of what is good for both consumers and Alberta’s egg farmers.
