2 cup rolled oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk oats, baking soda, baking powder together.
  2. In a medium metal bowl, beat softened butter and sugars together.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla.  Using a wooden spoon, gradually stir in flour mixture until well combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.  Preheat oven to 180° C (350° F).
  6. Scoop dough into a 1/3 cup (75 mL) and drop on to a lightly greased cookie sheet  4 inches (10 cm) apart.  Flatten with your hand or a lid from a large jar.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.  Let cool on a wire rack.
