Thanks to the unique supply management system in Canada, Alberta farm families have been providing fresh, local eggs for more than 50 years.

Environmental stewardship is important to Alberta’s farm families to ensure Alberta’s egg industry will be sustainable for generations. The Producer Environmental Egg Program (PEEP) helps farmers understand best practices and take steps to reduce their environmental footprint. Launched by Egg Farmers of Alberta in 2014, PEEP has been supporting innovation and continuous improvement in Alberta’s egg farms and will continue to drive forward change for environmental sustainability.
