Sausage Bites

Ingredients
1 lb (500 g) frozen bulk sausage, thawed1/2 cup (125 mL) fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup (50 mL) grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp (5 mL) dried parsley flakes
1/4 tsp (1 mL) dried oregano leaves, crushed
2 eggs
dipping sauce (optional)
Directions
Remove sausage from casing if necessary. Place in a 2 quart (2L) microwave safe bowl. Cook on High (100%) 4 to 5 minutes or until cooked; stir several times to crumble. Drain. Combine cooked sausage with bread crumbs, cheese, parsley, oregano and eggs in bowl of food processor. Cover and process until smooth. Shape into 50 balls about 1 inch (2 cm) in diameter. Place half the meatballs around the outside edge of a 10 inch (25 cm) microwave safe pie plate. Cook on High (100%) 2 to 3 minutes or until cooked. Repeat with remaining meatballs. Serve with dipping sauce if desired.Makes: 50 pieces
