Egg 'n Cheese Dog

Ingredients

2 eggs
2 tbsp (30 mL) water
to taste salt
to taste pepper
1 tsp (5 mL) butter
2 slices cheese
1 hot dog bun, toasted

Directions

In a small bowl, whisk eggs with water, salt and pepper.

In an 8 inch ( 20 cm) skillet, melt butter over medium heat, pour egg mixture into skillet. As mixture begins to set, use a turner to gently push cooked portion toward the centre. Tilt the skillet to allow uncooked portions to flow into empty spaces; when eggs are set, slide omelette onto a plate. Place cheese slices in a line close to one end of omelette; roll up, starting at end with cheese. Place rolled omelette in bun. Serve immediately.

Tips


Serve with ketchup, mustard, salsa or hot sauce or tuck bacon strips in bun with omelette.
