Cheesy Scrambled Egg

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 2 mL butter or margarine (½ teaspoon)
  • 1 egg
  • 15 mL milk (1 tablespoon)
  • 60 mL grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese (¼ cup)

Equipment kit:

  • microwave oven
  • custard cup or coffee cup
  • measuring spoons
  • cheese grater
  • plastic wrap
  • fork
  • oven mitts

Directions:

With adult supervision...
  1. In a small custard cup or coffee cup, microwave butter or margarine on High (100% power) for 15 seconds or until melted.
  2. Rotate cup to butter all sides.
  3. Break egg into cup and add milk. Beat well using fork.
  4. Add cheese. Mix well.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap, with one corner pulled back to let air out.
  6. Microwave on High (100% power) for 50 – 60 seconds, stirring once during cooking.
  7. Let stand, covered, for 2 minutes. Carefully remove from microwave with oven mitts.
