EFA’s 2016 Stampede Blog

Can you believe we are already midway through Stampede? But no need to worry, there’s still time to visit us and our hens at Ag-tivity in the City, located in the Agrium Western Event Centre.

We’re here until 9pm every evening until Sunday – come visit our farmers and the hens!

In the photo above, farmer Mike is engaging with Stampede guests answering their questions.

EFA at Stampede

Our interactive and educational You be the Farmer booth got a refresh this year with the addition of 30 white and brown hens – housed on site in a furnished housing unit and manned by Alberta egg farmers over the course of Stampede. Our farmers will be there every day, to talk to you about everything that goes into providing Albertans with fresh, locally produced eggs.

Over the first 5 eggcellent days we’ve had thousands of visitors – who’ve learned lots about egg farming in Alberta, as well as the journey of the egg from the farm to the grocery store, and eventually to your plate – and of course, the hens! The most popular question we’ve gotten so far is the difference between white and brown eggs.
